After some years without physical releases, Calle 54 Records is reissuing its entire catalog in collaboration with Reissued Sounds.

Born on the exact same day, October 9th, Bebo and Chucho Valdés fulfill a dream half a century in the making with this milestone album. Following an eighteen-year separation after Bebo left Cuba and only rare historic reunions—such as New York in 1978, San Francisco in 1995, and the film Calle 54 in 2000—father and son finally reunited in Madrid in June 2007 to record side by side on the eve of Bebo’s 90th birthday.
Produced by Fernando Trueba and Nat Chediak, the album features Chucho on the left channel and Bebo on the right, perfectly mirroring their face-to-face setup in the studio. Combining solo pieces and two-piano renditions of boleros, jazz standards, and classics like Lágrimas negras, this release captures a unique bond filled with rhythm, melody, and a passion for life, permanently uniting two titans of Cuban piano.
